Ministry focused in this way can be seen as having several different seasons. Just as our seasonal calendar year revolves around four seasons, so does the St Pauls Episcopal Church Youth Ministry:

Season 1: Beginnings (Aug – Oct) –Each year at the beginning of the school year it feels like the Youth Ministry starts over. We welcome in a new class of 6th - 12th graders, many new faces and a new slate of programming. Each group of participants brings with it a new feel, a new vibe, a new culture. Programming at this time is focused on re-starting and re-creating our ministry and community. We spend a lot of time re-introducing ourselves to each other and welcoming new faces.

Season 2: Rhythms (Nov – Mar) – After welcoming everyone back, we start to get our weekly rhythm for life together. At this point we have a pretty good sense of what our group dynamics are going to be and settle into some events, activities, spiritual formation and classes that will cater to our specific groups with the intention of deepening connections with each other and each persons faith in Christ.

Season 3: Transitions (Apr – May) - This season is characterized by anticipating  coming changes. The school year is ending, school year youth ministry is ending, High School Seniors are graduating, every one else is promoting to a new grade, summer vacations are being looked forward to and summer youth ministry programming is on the horizon. We take this time to recognize the coming transitions and to celebrate what our life has been together.

Season 4: Connections (Jun-Aug) – Summer is often a time of frantic recreation. Teenagers are ushered from one camp to another and families are trying to squeeze in family vacations. The youth ministry is trying to stay connected. We have 3 summer trips that keep us connected while caring for the needs of others. We also have several activities planned that will connect us and give the opportunity for catching up on summer fun.
